StatCards 2.0 – new and improved
Posted on Aug 14, 2015
We’ve improved our popular StatCards feature this summer, adding more view, more customizability and more options.
For those who used our popular PlayerCards feature last season, the new StatCards interface will look very familiar. Viewers can select from a list of precomposed ‘stat views’ to create their card and from there, they will have the option of choosing a different title theme, adjusting or adding text, changing font sizes and colors and changing the team or event logo that appears on the graphic; the StatCard graphics have also received an overhaul.
Just like in previous versions of StatCards, viewers can select whether they want to download an image file (PNG), save it to a remote URL and post it to Twitter, but now we have also added a feature to post it directly to a Facebook profile using the service’s OpenGraph platform (we’re also adding Facebook functionality to PlayerCards).
You can access StatCards as well as PlayerCards from the Tools menu in any stat feed and clicking on the button labeled ‘StatGrfx’. For schools/events, StatGrfx can also be accessed directly through the Admin site.
